Vermont Castings has released the new and improved Aspen C3, a new take on their ever popular cast iron Aspen wood stove. The Aspen wood stove had always been a great fit for small to mid-sized spaces requiring extra warmth but not needing the output of a full sized stove. From studios, mudrooms and kitchens, the Aspen provided warm constant and mellow cast iron heat.
Vermont Castings R&D team redesigned the Aspen and now the new Aspen C3 has arrived at Safeguard’s showroom and it’s loaded with new features. The new Apsen C3 still carries on with the same great styling Aspen owners love but redesigned the firebox to give longer burn times and incorporated a new fully automatic damper to control the combustion air, you no longer have to fiddle with the stove to keep it in the sweet spot. This is the C3 idea… Continuous Combustion Control.. when translated means you load the stove, light the fire and close the door. The stove will automatically control the combustion air via a heat activated damper which requires no electricity, extending burn times up to 10 hours. The C3 technology will also reduce chimney smoke emissions, now at 1.9 gr/hr this stove meets next years May 2020 emission standards for new wood stoves sold in North America. V.C didn’t stop there, the optional outside air adapter is no longer a separate part requiring purchase, it’s now built into every stove, and the cook plate section on top now has an optional ceramic cover that looks very nice.
